Expert systems are used as supplementary tools in various decision making activities. Expert system software that can bring solutions to hardware and software problems has been designed as part of this study. The study aimed to determine whether or not there is a statistical significance between studying 11th grade System Maintenance and Repair classes with traditional method and with expert system supported teaching method in terms of their effect on students' implementation skills. Two analyses were undertaken with regard to performance assessment. When the results were examined, it was seen that the expert system supported teaching methods and was more effective than traditional methods and led to a significant increase in student success. It is contended that these systems may be beneficial with regard to increasing student achievement and decreasing the time needed for training in applied classes in vocational schools.en_US
