Özet
Entegre Demir Çelik Tesislerinin üretilen çeliğin kalite ve sıcaklığını ayarlamada önemli bir rol oynayan ikincil metalurjik tesislerden biri olan Pota Fırınlarında elektrot sarfiyatının en az seviyede tutulması için birçok yöntem bulunmaktadır. Bu tesislerde optimum güçte ideal güç faktöründe kararlı ark oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. İdeal güç faktörünü elde edebilmek için devreye seri olarak reaktör ilavesinin uygun olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
