Özet
Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu Türk milletinin tarihî seyrini romanlarında işleyen, Selçuklular devrinden çok partili hayata kadar Türk tarihini romanına aksettiren Türk edebiyatındaki tarihî roman yazarlarındadır. Birçok türde eser veren yazar tarihî romanlarıyla tanınmaktadır. Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu’nun romanları, Türk milletinin Anadolu ve Kıbrıs’taki tarihî seyrini konu edinmektedir. Dünkü Türkiye, Bugünkü Türkiye, Çanakkale, Kıbrıs ve biyografik romanları ile bir Türk yazarı olarak Türk milletini anlatmaktadır. Dünkü Türkiye Serisi’nin ilk üç kitabı olan Kilit, Anahtar ve Kapı romanlarında İslâmiyet’i kabul eden Selçukluların Anadolu topraklarına gelişi, gaza ve fetihlerle Anadolu’yu ve Urumeli’ni vatanlaştırması anlatılmaktadır. Yazar bu üç romanıyla hem Türk tarihini hem de Türk kimliğini, tarih ve millet şuuru, inanç unsuru, vatan olgusu, gelenek, görenek ve töre bağlamında ortaya koymaktadır. ""Dünkü Türkiye Serisi Selçuklu Üçlemesi’nde (Kilit, Anahtar, Kapı) Millî Kimlik Unsurları"" adlı bu çalışmada, kronolojik olarak ele alınan romanlarda millî kimlik unsurları incelenmiştir. Tarih şuuruyla geçmiş ve an arasında bağlantının kurulduğu, millet ve soy bilinci ile aidiyet ve mensubiyet hissinin ortaya konulduğu, vatan olgusu ile coğrafyanın kutsal bir toprak parçası haline dönüştürüldüğü, gelenek, görenek ve töre ile millî bir hayatın yaratıldığı romanlarda millî kimlik unsurları etraflıca işlenmiştir. Türk edebiyatında tarihi roman türünün öncü adlarından birisi olan Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu, romanlarında millî kimlik unsurlarını Türk milletinin tarihsel köklerinden ve öz karakterinden kaynaklı bir olgu olarak ele almıştır. Romanlarda, tarih, soy, millet, inanç, gelenek, görenek ve töre gibi millî kimlik unsurları belli bir plan dâhilinde öğretici nitelikte ele alınmıştır. Sepetçioğlu’nun Türk millî kimliğini hangi olgular üzerinden inşa ettiği incelenmektedir. İnşa süreci; Türk milletinin tarihsel köklerinden alınan referanslar, toplumsal yaşamını düzenleyen ve şekillendiren inanç unsurları, toprak parçasının vatan haline dönüştürülüp milletin kaderiyle özdeşleştirilmesi yoluyla yapılmaktadır.
