dc.description.abstract | In this study, a remote computer controlled automation system has designed and manufactured for dry kiln with sea water source heat pump. The following parameters in the dry kiln are temperature, humidity and changing of weight. The system components of related with these parameters: stopping and running of system, flow of sea water, input and output air vents of dry cabin and fans. The used temperature and humidity sensor SHT11 for the following system is running between the -40 °C and +128 °C. Loadcell which has 0.01 gr precision is used for the changing of weight. Automation board has been manufactured by using PIC18F4520 microcontroller. Moreover, TelitGT863-PY gprs module has been used for the transferring data of the automation board. In order to control automation system, user interface is generated with the help of C# programming language. The selection of product from user interface has provided that starting of drying process within the suitable parameters. Furthermore, system drying parameters can be installed to user interface manually. This property permits to dry the desired product under the conditions required. Thanks to user interface, real time data of temperature, humidity and pruduct weight are able to observed and recorded. Consequently, in the our manufacturing system, bay laurel is dried and it has been shown that obtained results are agreement with the results of literature. © Sila Science.
