Özet
İnsan haklarının korunması ve geliştirilmesinde sivil toplum kuruluşlarının (STK) rolü, uluslararası hukuk ve politika bağlamında giderek artan bir öneme sahiptir. Bu tez çalışması, küresel çapta insan hakları savunuculuğu yürüten STK'ların etkilerini, yöntemlerini ve karşılaştıkları zorlukları derinlemesine incelemektedir. Araştırma, özellikle otoriter rejimler altında faaliyet gösteren STK'ların stratejilerini ve bu zorlu koşullar altında nasıl hayatta kaldıklarını ve etkili olduklarını ele almakta, bu süreçte karşılaştıkları hukuki, ekonomik ve siyasi engelleri detaylandırmaktadır. Ayrıca, tez, STK'ların medya ile olan ilişkilerini, kamuoyu oluşturma süreçlerinde nasıl bir rol oynadıklarını ve toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği, çocuk hakları, mülteci hakları gibi spesifik alanlarda nasıl özel kampanyalar yürüttüklerini de inceler. Bu kampanyaların, ilgili topluluklar üzerindeki sosyo-ekonomik etkileri ve politika değişikliklerine olan katkıları örneklerle tartışılmaktadır. Bu tez, STK'ların insan hakları savunuculuğu sürecinde üstlendikleri çok yönlü rolleri ve bu rollerin, global düzeyde insan hakları normlarının şekillenmesi ve uygulanması üzerindeki etkilerini gözler önüne sermektedir. STK'ların, sadece hukuki ve politik arenalarda değil, aynı zamanda sosyal ve kültürel düzlemlerde de toplumsal değişime önemli ölçüde katkıda bulundukları vurgulanmaktadır. Tez üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm insan hakları kavramı ve insan haklarının tarihsel gelişimi üzerinde durmaktadır. İkinci bölüm ise sivil toplum kuruluşu kavramı, önemi ve sivil toplum kuruluşunun tarihsel gelişimini ele almaktadır. Son bölümde ise sivil toplum kuruluşları insan hakları bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. ?
The protection and enhancement of human rights are increasingly significant in the context of international law and policy. This thesis examines the impacts, methods, and challenges faced by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that advocate for human rights on a global scale. The research specifically addresses the strategies of NGOs operating under authoritarian regimes, exploring how they survive and remain effective under such harsh conditions, and detailing the legal, economic, and political barriers they encounter. Furthermore, the thesis investigates the relationships NGOs have with the media, their role in shaping public opinion, and how they conduct specific campaigns in areas such as gender equality, children's rights, and refugee rights. The socio-economic impacts of these campaigns on the relevant communities and their contributions to policy changes are discussed through examples. This thesis presents the multifaceted roles NGOs play in the human rights advocacy process and their impact on the shaping and implementation of global human rights norms. It highlights the significant contributions NGOs make not only in legal and political arenas but also in social and cultural spheres towards societal change. The thesis is structured into three sections. The first section focuses on the concept of human rights and the historical development of human rights. The second section discusses the concept of civil society organization, its significance, and the historical development of civil society organizations. The final section evaluates civil society organizations in the context of human rights."
