dc.description.abstractIn this study, 2,6-bis(4,6-dichloro-1,3,5-triazine-2-yl-amino)pyridine (III) was obtained by reacting cyanuric chloride with 2,6-diaminopyridine at 0 ?. Then, 2,6-bis(4,6-(4-formyphenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine-2-yl-amino)pyridine (IV) was obtained by reacting the compounds with 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde. The first tar-get ligand 2,6-bis(4,6-(4-(4-carboxybenzylimino) phenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine-2-yl amino) pyridine (V) and second target ligand 2,6-bis(4,6-(4-(3,5-dicarboxybenzylimino)phenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine-2-yl-amino) pyridine (VI) were obtained by reacting compound IV with 4-aminobenzoic acid or 5-aminoisophtalic acid, respectively. [MSalen/Saloph] capped complexes were obtained from the reaction of V and VI codded ligands and the [(MSalen/Saloph)(2)O] (M = Cr3+, Fe3+, Co3+ and Zr4+) starting complexes in 1,4-dioxane or DMF media, respectively. The ligands were characterized by using 1H-NMR, FT-IR spectroscopy, ESI-MS and elemental analysis techniques. The complexes were characterized by using FT-IR, MALDI-TOF spectrometer, UV-Vis spectroscopies, elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, and TGA-DTA techniques.
