| dc.description.abstract | Kastamonu ili Araç ilçesinde yıllardır süregelen bir yaylacılık geleneği vardır. Halkın modern ziraatı kullanmaya başlamasıyla tarım faaliyetleri artmış, hayvancılık arka planda kalmıştır. Bunun sonucunda, bölge halkı eskisi gibi hayvanlarını besleme zorunluluğundan doğan yaylacılık faaliyetlerinin yerine, daha çok hava tebdili, doğada vakit geçirerek dinlenme gibi nedenlerle yaylaya çıkmaktadır. Günümüzde değişen yaşam tarzıyla yaylacılık ve yayla gelenekleri unutularak kaybolmaktadır. Var olan yayla evleri bakımsız kalarak yok olma tehlikesi altındadır. Bu değerlerin kaybolmaması, gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması amacıyla bu çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi belirlenmiş, konu hakkında kaynak araştırmalarına yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Araç ilçesinin tarihi, coğrafi, sosyal ve ekonomik yapısı incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, yayla ve yaylacılığın tanımı, Anadolu’da yaylacılığın tarihi ve Araç ilçesindeki yaylacılığa dair bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Araç ilçesinde düzenlenen yayla festivalleri ele alınmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde, yaylaların analizleri yapılmış ve yapılan bu analizlerin sonuçları tablolar ve haritalar kullanılarak aktarılmıştır. Yaylalarda bulunan geleneksel yayla evlerinin yapısal ve mimari özellikleri irdelenerek yayla evlerine dair genel bir tipoloji oluşturulmuştur. Sonuç ve önerilerin yer aldığı beşinci bölümde Araç yaylalarının sahip olduğu kültürel ve mimari değerlerin gelecek nesillere bozulmadan aktarılabilmesini sağlamak amacıyla alınması gerekli tedbirlerle beraber, geleneksel yayla evlerinin başta yapım teknikleri olmak üzere mimari özelliklerinin korunmasına yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In the district of Araç in the province of Kastamonu, there has been a longstanding tradition of transhumance. With the local population increasingly adopting modern agriculture, farming activities have flourished while animal husbandry has taken a backseat. As a result, instead of the traditional transhumance activities born out of the necessity to graze animals, the local community now heads to the highlands mainly for reasons such as change of air and spending time in nature for relaxation. With the changing lifestyle, transhumance and highland traditions are gradually being forgotten and lost. Existing highland houses are being neglected and are at risk of disappearing. In order to preserve these values and pass them on to future generations, this study has been conducted. The first section of the study outlines the purpose, scope, and methodology, along with a review of relevant literature on the subject. The second section examines the historical, geographical, social, and economic structure of the Araç district. The third section provides a definition of highlands and transhumance, explores the history of transhumance in Anatolia, and provides information specific to transhumance in the Araç district, including discussions on highland festivals organized in the area. In the fourth section, analyses of the highlands are conducted, and the results of these analyses are presented using tables and maps. The structural and architectural features of traditional highland houses are examined, leading to the development of a general typology for these houses. The fifth section, which includes conclusions and recommendations, proposes measures to ensure that the cultural and architectural values of the Araç highlands are passed on to future generations without deterioration.
