Öğe THE EFFECT OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ACTIVITIES APPLIED IN HOTELS ON PURCHASING INTENTION OF TOURISTS: THE CASE OF ISTANBUL(Mehmet Akif Ersoy Univ, 2018) Kocoglu, Cenk MuratIt is a fact that hotels applied social responsibility activities are perceived as more positively by tourists and these activities are determinant in tourists purchasing decisions. In this context, the aim of the research is to determine the effect of the social responsibility activities carried out in the hotels on the tourists' intention to purchase. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 500 tourists who accommodated in Istanbul five star hotel enterprises. Results revealed that the social responsibility activities which are composed of voluntary, ethical and legal responsibilities have positive effect on tourists purchasing intention. But, results implied that economic responsibility has no significant effect on tourists purchasing intention. It can be concluded that it is recommended that hotel enterprises should implement ethical and legal responsibility activities, especially voluntary responsibility.Öğe The Impact of Reputation Components of Higher Education Institutions Providing Tourism Education on The Students Satisfaction and Behavior of Recommendation(Eskisehir Osmangazi Univ, Fac Education, 2018) Kocoglu, Cenk MuratNowadays, the rapid increase in the number of tourism faculties raise the competition among these institutions. Tourism faculties that want to come to the forefront in their competition and students' preferences should pay attention to their corporate reputation levels. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of corporate reputation components on students faculty satisfaction and the behavior of recommending a faculty to others. The data were collected from 330 students in Kastamonu University, Tourism Faculty by way of questionnaire technique. And structural equality model was employed for data analysis. The results reveal that education quality, emotional attraction and visionary leadership which are components of corporate reputation exert direct impact on the students' satisfaction towards their faculties and the behavior of recommending their faculties to others.Öğe THE IMPACT OF TOUR GUIDE'S PERFORMANCE ON TOURIST SATISFACTION AND DESTINATION LOYALTY: A STUDY ON FAR EASTERN TOURISTS(Mehmet Akif Ersoy Univ, 2023) Kocoglu, Cenk Murat; Yildirim Kalem, MerveThis study was carried out to identify the effects of tourist guide performance on tourist satisfaction and destination loyalty. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 405 Far Eastern tourists visiting Safranbolu with a guided tour. The data were analyzed in the SPSS program. Data were obtained about the demographic characteristics of tourists and their accommodation. Factor analysis, reliability analysis and regression analysis were performed. It was obtained that the tourist guide performance affect tourist satisfaction and destination loyalty positively. Among the sub-dimensions of tourist guide performance, the skills of tourist guides in introducing entertainment places is the skill that the most affect tourist satisfaction, and subsequently problem-solving skills have followed. Considering the sub -dimensions of tourist guide's performance, skills that affect the tourist's satisfaction are the skills of tourist guides in introducing entertainment places and their problem-solving skills. Furthermore, regarding the sub dimensions of tourist guide's performance, the skills of the tour guide that affect the destination loyalty are professional competence and interpersonal relations with tourists and also the skills in informing entertainment facilities.Öğe THE OPEN DOOR TO PREVENT COUNTERPRODUCTIVE WORK BEHAVIOR: ETHICAL LEADERSHIP(Univ Federal Juiz Fora, Campus Univ, 2019) Goktas Kulualp, Halime; Kocoglu, Cenk MuratThe aim of this study is to determine the effect of ethical leadership behavior on counterproductive behaviors. Data were obtained using the survey technique. The sample of the study consists of 252 employees who work in four - and five - star hotels in Istanbul. According to the results of the analysis, it is found that the abuse dimension is the most powerful dimension in order to explain counterproductive work behavior. Counterproductive business behavior is negatively affected by ethical leadership behaviors. In addition, ethical leadership has a negative impact on behaviors related to abuse, withdrawal, theft, sabotage, and deviation from production and service, which have counterproductive business behavior dimensions.Öğe Perception of Independent Turkic World States as Tourism Destinations by Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye(Sosyoekonomi Soc, 2023) Sarac, Omer; Kocoglu, Cenk Murat; Oktay, Kutay; Batman, OrhanThis research aims to determine the destination image of the independent Turkic world states. In the study, data were obtained using the survey technique, applying the convenience sampling method, and 679 samples were collected from 44 different cities in Turkiye. The gathered data were analysed using statistical software. According to the analysis results, the destination image of the Turkish world states has a high average. It has been determined that the confidence dimension exhibits the highest positive correlation with all other dimensions that constitute the destination image. Additionally, it has been found that the original culture and attractiveness dimension has the highest level of perception. On the other hand, it has been concluded that the average destination perception of tourists who have previously visited the states of the Turkish world is higher than that of those who have not visited them.
